The aim of the network is to develop three concept of Think/Feel/Create within public space in order to empower citizens in making life in cities sustainable and inclusive, thus contributing in the implementation of the New Urban Agenda and the Sustainble Development Goal n. 11.

The City through a culturally holistic lens and the case of Beirut.

Cities in the Mediterranean region in general, are sharing some common characteristics, other than the climate, the Mediterranean is one of the most diverse areas in the world culturally, ethnically and ideologically. The complexity of the socio-political situation in countries like Lebanon is very important to keep in mind when tackling any urban issue, with all its different levels of stakeholders and actors.

Into the Forest

Sunday was a seasonably warm and lovely day to be outside. This being my first trip to the site for this study, I set out to observe the general atmosphere and behaviors of users there with the goal of identifying overarching patterns and hopefully engage in informal conversations with one or more stakeholders.
